Responsibilities:
  • Network Oversight: Diagnose and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/wireless connectivity issues, ensuring stable access and usability.
  • Systems Administration: Monitor and fine-tune systems for optimal performance, analyzing data for capacity planning and trend insights.
  • Inventory Control: Handle inventory, maintenance, and disposition of hardware and software.
  • Security & Compliance: Engage in disaster recovery efforts, manage endpoint patching, and maintain a secure and compliant operational environment.
  • Project Collaboration: Work alongside the IT team on larger projects and operational needs, ensuring smooth communication and problem resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, identify opportunities to enhance service quality, and deepen relationships with internal users.
  • Automation: Proactively automate routine tasks using Python, Bash, and other approved methods to boost efficiency.
  • Miscellaneous Duties: Take on any other assigned tasks or special projects to support the IT department's objectives.
  • Up to 20% travel to international customer sites for product installation/support
Technical Requirements:
  • 5 years of demonstrated technical experience.
  • Windows Operating Systems: Proficiency in both Windows workstation/server OS (5+ years)
  • Linux: (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL) (2+ years)
  • Network Infrastructure: Established knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network routing
  • Programming Abilities: Familiarity with Python and Bash
  • Container Administration: Working understanding of Docker containers, Kubernetes
  • Industry Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of industry best practices and advanced technical concepts.
  • Communication: MUST have soft skills to interact well with internal customers and collaborate with stakeholders ranging from clients and peers to management and vendors.
  • Task Management: Capability to handle multiple concurrent responsibilities and oversee prolonged IT projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
  • Professional Certifications: MCSE, MCITP a plus
  • AWS Certifications a plus
  • Experience with Helms Chart, Kubernetes, and Elastic Search
Education:
