Summary:
Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, applying specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills in the treatment of psychiatric patients following facility and departmental guidelines and nursing practice standards.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; understanding of the roles of healthcare professionals such as Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Clerks.
- Active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Louisiana.
- Current BLS certification.
- Completion of De-Escalation Certification within 90 days of hire and annual recertification.
