VTG is currently looking for a Senior Engineer who is a certified Radiofrequency (RF) Engineer with expertise in transmission systems, device design, and antenna placement to ensure the best performance. The role involves supporting the Executive Director, Program Manager, and Deputy Program Manager. This position is a hybrid role, with occasional work both at VTG's New Jersey Avenue Office in Washington D.C. and onsite at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington D.C.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely professional engineering support services to the Navy customer's leadership for the Spectrum Relocation Fund (SRF) program.
  • Communicate effectively with various teams and deliver quality products such as briefs, reports, and risk registers.
  • Offer expertise in transmission line, waveguide, antenna, and electromagnetic field principles.
  • Assist in the execution of the SRF Program to ensure successful project completion.
  • Contribute to the Feasibility Studies of Spectrum Bands to align with the National Spectrum Strategy (NSS).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Certified RF Engineer.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to foster relationships with engineering teams.
  • Proficient in propagation modeling using RF Software.
  • Knowledge of DoD Engineering scheduling and acquisition processes.
  • Experience in technical meetings, forums, and working groups within Navy SRF activities.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite tools and maintaining repository of information.
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • 10 years of DOD Civilian/Contractor management experience.
  • Familiarity with DoD Spectrum Management.
  • Experience in engineering design focusing on hardware modules.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma practices and process improvement efforts.
  • Prior involvement with the Spectrum Relocation Fund (SRF).

This role is dependent on contract award.
