THE ROLE: Quality Manager

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing manufacturing quality, efficiency, and process standardization within our workrooms and supply chain
  • Collaborate with our workrooms to instill and execute quality process enhancements
  • Establish valuable partnerships with workroom leaders and staff to leverage their expertise for process enhancement
  • Lead root cause analysis to address manufacturing defects and implement corrective measures
  • Drive ongoing improvements both internally across support functions and on the production floor
  • Conduct audits to validate successful implementation and adherence to process enhancements
  • Update and document procedural changes aligned with manufacturing improvements
  • Identify areas for enhancement internally and externally across different functions
  • Cultivate and maintain exceptional relationships while upholding The Shade Store values and standards
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Willingness to travel domestically (10-20%) to East/West Coast and Midwest
  • Familiarity with Six-Sigma, SPC, and/or Lean methodologies (certification is a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic, critical thinking approach
  • Demonstrated passion for project management
  • Proven track record of identifying and driving process improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency in Excel, Pivot Tables, Advanced Functions, data analysis, and reporting
  • Experience working with fabrics is advantageous
