Job Description SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the manufacturing process of power supplies, control panels, and other aviation electronic products for civil and defense applications.

Responsible for supporting legacy and New Product Introduction (NPI) build documentation and planning. You will leverage product knowledge and technical expertise to determine manufacturing processes and process improvements. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. This individual will work on second shift.
Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesDefine and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
Develops and updates work instructions for NPI and legacy product and related manufacturing process documentation (CAD and Word formats). This includes work instructions, manufacturing specifications and standard operating procedures, etc.

Support assembly equipment purchases through installationAssist cross-functional team of Production Supervisors, Quality Engineers, and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective actionIdentify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variationUtilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacityUses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.

Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
Collaborates with others to solve issues.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 2 years of experience or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Manufacturing.

Desired CharacteristicsBachelor's Degree in Engineering with a strong preference towards Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials from an accredited university or collegeExperience with LEAN manufacturingDirect experience with electronic manufacturing processes or strong education background with aptitude and desire to learn from experienced personnelStrong background in the interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications and manufacturing processesKnowledge of AS9100/AS9110, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001The base pay range for this position is $77, $96, The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
