Senior Executive Assistant (Central Development)

You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion dollars to build a better future for Nebraska. The campaign is being led by many enthusiastic volunteers representing all areas of the University of Nebraska System. This position will work in our Lincoln or Omaha office with the expectation of time spent in both offices.

Ways you'll make an impact:
  • Supervise, lead, guide, and coach all Central Development administrative staff while overseeing all administrative functions for our Central Development team.
  • Evaluate, establish, and maximize consistent procedures, practices, and standards for the administrative team through engaging internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to and implement corrective action for processes and procedures involving database entry, expense tracking, budgeting, travel details, executive briefings, distribution of work, project/workflow assignment, and attendance among other administrative tasks.
  • Prepare budget and record monthly variances to ensure fiscal management and financial objectives are met; prepare expense reports and monitor expenses accurately and appropriately.
  • Communicate with internal leadership on critical and confidential matters, conveying messages to the VP and other staff while serving as a member of the Central Development leadership team.
  • Responsible for routine daily imports and exports of data from various platforms in use for digital fundraising, communication, and providing exceptional service to external vendors.

What you need:
  • Minimum Education: Associates degree or equivalent required. Preferred: Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum Experience: 6+ years of experience in a Senior Administrative role. Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives in service-orientated industry shown through strong verbal communication, relationship building, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management, decision making, creative problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a large, complex budget.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential matters.
  • Computer experience in a PC environment; proficient use of Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other software.
