Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

  • Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Creates and troubleshoots CNC programs for new parts using advanced software.
  • Evaluates feasibility of new tooling considering cost and technical factors.
  • Provides technical expertise on manufacturing techniques, materials, and processes.
  • Collaborates with customers to resolve design issues and proficiently interprets drawings and models.
  • Coordinates prototype production and evaluates product quality.
  • Estimates production times, costs, and staffing needs for management decision-making.
  • Develops, evaluates, and enhances manufacturing methods to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Troubleshoots process issues to minimize downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Keeps updated on latest technologies and assists in product development.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, applicants should have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Associates degree with a minimum of 5 years' process engineering experience or 10 years' programming experience in a machine shop setting.
Language Ability:

Proficiency in reading blueprints, writing reports, and effectively communicating technical information.

Math Ability:

Skills in mathematical concepts and practical applications.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions. Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheet, CAD, and CAM software such as Solidworks, MasterCam, and Part Maker.

Work Environment:

Work settings include exposure to mechanical parts with moderate noise levels.

Physical Demands:

Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
