Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receive and assess food orders from servers and kitchen staff.
  2. Verify the correctness and completeness of orders, making certain that special requests and dietary restrictions are duly noted.
  3. Relay any modifications or special instructions to the kitchen staff.
  4. Prioritize orders based on their designated sequence and customer preferences.
  5. Maintain continuous communication with the kitchen team to monitor the progress of food preparation.
  6. Oversee the plating and presentation of dishes, ensuring they align with established quality and presentation standards.
  7. Confirm that all necessary garnishes, condiments, or additional items are included with each order.
  8. Monitor the readiness of entire orders for parties and coordinate with servers to ensure prompt delivery to customers.
  9. Conduct regular quality checks on food items to ensure they meet the restaurant's standards and specifications.
  10. Address any issues or discrepancies with the kitchen staff and request necessary corrections.
  11. Ensure that food is served at the appropriate temperature and that all items on the order are complete and accurate.
  12. Promote effective communication and collaboration among kitchen staff, servers, and management, promptly communicating delays, changes, or challenges to all relevant parties.
  13. Transmit customer feedback, concerns, or special requests to the appropriate personnel.
  14. Collaborate with servers to address any questions or concerns related to the orders.
  15. Maintain a well-organized and clean expediting station, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies.
  16. Uphold food safety and sanitation standards in the expediting area.
  17. Offer assistance with general cleaning and organizational tasks in the kitchen or dining area as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or foodservice establishment is preferred.
  2. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
  3. Strong attention to detail and the capability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with kitchen staff, servers, and customers.
  5. Ability to remain composed and composed under pressure, resolving conflicts or issues professionally.
  6. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  7. Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
$17.00/hr
