PROPOSAL WRITER
The Proposal Writer will play a crucial role in our organization by creating high-quality technical proposals that are compelling.

This position requires a strong command of technical concepts and the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing and editing skills, a solid understanding of software development processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Role:
Serve as a member of the proposal team to analyze, review, and compose proposal responses to the federal government and commercial clients
Partner with executives and work closely with Sales and Engineering to provide hands-on support in the composition and submission of winning proposal responses
Drive proposal processes in a proactive manner to successfully meet milestones
Team effectively with solutions architects, engineers, designers, and subject matter experts in the construction of responses that align with client requests and bulletproof service offerings

Responsibilities:
Create clear, concise, and comprehensive technical responses to RFP requirements
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards in all written materials
Participate in peer reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of documentation
Research, write, and edit compelling proposals in response to government solicitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for information (RFIs)
Analyze proposal requirements, develop outlines, and coordinate with technical and management teams to gather necessary information
Collaborate with subject matter experts, program managers, and other stakeholders to articulate the value proposition and ensure compliance with customer requirements
Edit and proofread proposals for clarity, coherence, and compliance with established guidelines
Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field
Proven experience as a Technical Writer or Proposal Writer in the software development or IT industry
Strong understanding of software development methodologies and technical concepts
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in using documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Confluence)
Familiarity with proposal development processes, including capture planning, proposal outlines, and compliance matrices
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of government contracting, including familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), is preferred but not required
