Hackensack Meridian Health is looking for a skilled surgical leader to join them as the Regional Medical Director of Oncology for Jersey Shore University Medical Center and the Southern Region of HMH in New Jersey, as well as Regional Director of Surgical Oncology at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.

The selected individual will be responsible for guiding strategic initiatives within the Surgical Oncology Department in the Southern Region of HMH, covering Jersey Shore University Medical Center (Neptune), Ocean University Medical Center (Brick), Southern Ocean Medical Center (Manahawkin), and Riverview Medical Center (Red Bank). They will also oversee clinical operations in Surgical Oncology to ensure top-notch patient care and promote a collaborative environment at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Qualify for a faculty appointment at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

Supervise both professional and administrative activities in the surgical oncology department, including overseeing patient care quality, implementing programs, offering policy guidance, monitoring professional performance, and maintaining effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.

  • Take the lead in developing and overseeing departmental budgets.
  • Implement business and quality improvement plans.

Play an active role in various committees and programs, such as the Oncology Steering Committee and Cancer Committee, contributing to the overall enhancement of healthcare services.

Contribute to the growth of educational programs by coordinating continuous medical education, participating in teaching residents and medical students, aiding in faculty development, organizing educational outreach programs, and establishing clinical research participation procedures.

Lead the clinical operations in the department by ensuring top-notch patient care through program implementation, policy development, and fostering collaborative communication among team members.

Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to drive ongoing innovation in healthcare delivery.

  • Participate actively in different committees and programs, such as the Oncology Steering Committee and Cancer Committee.

Requirements include a degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School, possession or ability to acquire a New Jersey Medical License, and several years of clinical, academic, and successful leadership experience.
