Job Description Summary
  • Our company is seeking a skilled Value Process Engineer to take on a leadership role in communicating business goals and processes within the Assembly and Test Organization.
  • In this position, you will leverage your expertise to address technical challenges, set and achieve objectives, maintain effective communication with leadership, and drive both short-term and long-term business targets.
  • With a focus on supporting engine assembly build processes for a leading aviation company, you will play a key role in developing best practices and optimizing operations.
Role Summary/Purpose
  • The Value Process Engineer will lead in conveying business goals and processes within the Assembly and Test Organization.
  • Responsibilities
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of various assembly processes, material handling, and torque application techniques throughout engine builds.
  • Assist in troubleshooting assembly processes and special tooling applications, and develop a deep understanding of engine hardware modules and assembly best practices.
  • Acquire knowledge of lift protocols, quality systems, and calibration procedures while also understanding engine hardware damage and solutions.
  • Develop proficiency in data transfer, torque data retrieval, and interpreting engineering drawings and parts lists.
  • Enhance expertise in hydraulic systems and computer-controlled torque equipment.
  • Lead projects following sound engineering principles, document technical data, and write equipment specifications.
  • Act as a technical liaison to equipment manufacturers and ensure timely machine/equipment delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a minimum of 4 years of experience with a high school diploma / GED) + 3 years of experience supporting engine assembly processes.
Desired Skills
  • Strong technical aptitude with engineering tools and systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience in presentations to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, torque, air/oil flow measurement, and calibration devices and systems.
  • Experience in a shop environment, particularly in jet engine assembly/testing.
  • Additional qualities include being humble, transparent, focused, having leadership abilities, and problem-solving skills.
