The selected candidate will work alongside a 3rd party advisor to enhance the FSQA framework currently in progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Food Safety culture by partnering with Production Management, Lead Baker, and Operations staff to integrate HACCP and PCQI programs into operations
  • Author and Document work instructions, recipe/batch records, and trackability documentation for specifications, in process, and finished goods from the commercial bakery
  • Implement GMP level protocols for food safety handling related to sanitation, PPE, equipment calibration, and QC checks
  • Establish a foundational environmental monitoring program and provide recommendations for QC checks and execution structure
  • Support continuous improvement projects to elevate FSQA programs to achieve compliance with FDA and GFSI standards
  • Conduct internal audits, implement findings, and lead interactions with 3rd party FDA, USDA, GFSI, and customer audits
  • Establish employee training and development initiatives to uphold FSQA standards across all organizational levels

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Sciences preferred
  • 3-5 Years of Food Quality/Food Safety Experience including audit support and the implementation of food safety protocols/policies/procedures
  • Strongly desired experience with Bakery and custom/specialty products
