DT Engineering an Industrial Automation Integrator is recruiting for a Master Machinist to join its machining team.

This position is located in Lebanon MO

The Master Machinist will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts while applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, and enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control programs.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control programs as required.
  • Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, and complies with requirements of Q/A manual to assure shipping of exclusive high-quality products.
  • Perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, and all bench operations and inspect.
  • Proficient in multiple areas in the machine shop with the ability to cross train quickly: (Large horizontal mills, small horizontal mills, vertical mills, lathes, and surface grinders)

Five or more years as General Machinist required.

Technical certification or degree from an accredited trade school preferred.

Ability to perform math calculations up to and including trigonometry.

Proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Hourly wage rate depends on experience.
