Overview:
The Medical Biller will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and submitting claims to various payers either electronically or by paper.
Responsible for timely and accurate review of the rejected claims to ensure that all claims were accepted by the payer.
Maintain a thorough understanding of billing and collection processes and report any concerns or problems evident to appropriate staff and/or departments as needed.
Responsible for performing all job duties while adhering to HIPAA requirements.Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit paper and/or electronic claims to various payers ensuring accurate submission for clean claim production
Manage reports and resubmission of electronic claims
Continually search for ways to improve the billing process, striving for efficiency in daily operations and partnering with co-workers and management to leverage and implement efficiencies
Update and maintain patient files and database records
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
1+ year office experience preferred
Previous medical billing experience preferred
Knowledge of ICD10 and HCPCS coding
No travel expected
Knowledge & Skills
Strong organizational skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Below is the starting salary range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience:
$ $26.70 / HR
