Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and baked goods.
  • Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
  • Operate espresso machines, blenders, and other equipment to prepare drinks
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers
  • Assist with food preparation and ensure food safety standards are met
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role as a barista or in the food industry is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly manner
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee blends
  • Familiarity with retail math for cash handling and sales transactions
  • Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar pointofsale systems is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
  • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
