POSITION SUMMARY

The Food and Beverage Server/Barista plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service by taking customer orders for food and beverages, serving items, preparing detailed checks, and processing payments when necessary.

This position may also involve additional responsibilities such as guiding guests to their tables, serving patrons at counters, setting up and clearing dining areas, and managing cash register operations.

Furthermore, the Server/Barista is tasked with verifying the age of patrons to ensure compliance with legal alcohol purchasing regulations.

Providing outstanding service to guests in a prompt and courteous manner is of utmost importance. Gratuity is included.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification in accordance with State regulations.
  • Food Handlers certification compliant with State regulations.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively.
  • Quick and accurate evaluation and selection among various courses of action.
  • Ability to perform well in high-pressure and stressful situations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Adhere to HCW Management standards and regulations at all times to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Meet certification requirements relevant to the position, including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers certifications.
  • Understand the structure of the restaurant and lounge, along with the functions of each role.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu and daily specials.
  • Serve guests with all food and beverage needs in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as necessary.
  • Be proficient in operating the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system.
  • Handle cashiering responsibilities, including closing checks and completing end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures, along with side work duties as assigned.
  • Ensure tables and side stations are consistently stocked, tidy, and clean.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
