Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Production Technician II in PolyFrit Manufacturing, your main responsibility is to craft laboratory consumables crucial for customers in the Oligo manufacturing field. Your tasks include operating equipment, conducting maintenance, and upholding cleanliness to meet our quality and operational standards. Daily activities involve weighing, mixing, handling small objects, using heating devices, and employing various mechanical tools. Additionally, you will aid in quality inspection and packaging processes while updating process documentation diligently. Detail-oriented, quality-focused individuals who can identify improvement opportunities are highly encouraged to apply for this role that involves both independent work and team collaboration.

Essential Functions:

- PolyFrit Manufacturing: Ensuring the production of PolyFrits aligns with internal and external orders based on established processes.

- Quality Spot Checks: Conducting all necessary quality assessments as per documentation and partnering with QC personnel to rectify any errors.

- Safety and Training: Adhering to safety protocols mandated by both the manufacturing process and LGC, including compliance with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policies.

- Maintaining Clean Work Environment: Following maintenance and cleaning tasks as instructed in work documents to uphold orderliness.

- Process Improvement Suggestions: Contributing insights on enhancing processes and equipment efficiency as observed during manufacturing.

- Other Assigned Duties: Demonstrating flexibility and teamwork by engaging in essential company initiatives when required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 3 years of prior manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-year degree related to laboratory operations or chemistry
  • 2 years of experience in consumables manufacturing
