Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description:

By becoming a crucial part of Olsson as a Project Engineer, you will have a significant role in our Utility Transmission and Distribution unit. This role demands a deeper comprehension of electrical engineering, specifically in power distribution systems. You will supervise specific aspects of projects, guaranteeing technical precision and adherence to deadlines and budgets. Your responsibilities will include more direct engagement with clients and cooperation with internal teams to provide creative solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and execution of power distribution projects, predominantly in above-ground distribution lines and systems.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to oversee project outcomes.
  • Manage junior engineers and offer technical advice.
  • Ensure conformity with industry guidelines and regulations.
  • Effectively handle project timelines and budgets.
  • Consult on the feasibility of devised projects.
  • Participate in on-site and pre-construction meetings.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Must hold a valid professional engineer license.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in power distribution engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in PLS - CADD and/or O-Calc is advantageous.
  • Background in overseeing overhead line construction.

The expected salary range for this role is $108,000 to $143,000+ and will be based on experience relevant to the position.
