Are you a skilled Sign Language Interpreter looking for a rewarding opportunity to support students in their educational journey? Our school district in Toccoa, GA is seeking a Remote Sign Language Interpreter to join our team immediately for the remainder of this school year and potentially beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation services for students in K-12 settings.
  • Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Interpret classroom lectures, discussions, and other educational activities.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure the academic success and social integration of students.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
  • Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
