Hours:
Monday-Friday

8AM-5PM

Pay rate:
$15 an hour

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to create detailed shop drawings and fabrication plans for steel structures.
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or Tekla Structures, to generate accurate 2D and 3D models of steel components and assemblies.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to review design specifications, resolve design conflicts, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform calculations and analysis to determine material quantities, dimensions, and connections for structural steel components.
  • Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and material take-offs to support procurement and fabrication processes.
  • Review and incorporate revisions and change orders into existing drawings and plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams and fabricators to ensure seamless execution of design plans and resolve any fabrication issues.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections of completed drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, codes, and regulations related to steel detailing and fabrication.
Qualifications:

• MUST have 1+ years previous experience utilizing 3D modeling programs ( Tekla, SDS/2, SolidWorks, etc. )

• MUST be reliable and eager

• MUST be computer savy
