Job Overview

A Banquet Server is accountable for arranging and delivering all assigned banquet functions smoothly. Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Capacity to make quick and accurate decisions
  • Capability to perform well in high-pressure situations
  • Effective listening skills
  • Understanding of financial information and basic arithmetic
  • Maintaining composure under pressure
Responsibilities
  • Approach guests and coworkers with a friendly demeanor
  • Adhere to Avion Hospitality standards for attendance and grooming
  • Follow all safety regulations for efficient hotel operations
  • Familiarize yourself with hotel policies and emergency procedures
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to guests
  • Address guest concerns and refer to management when needed
  • Keep banquet space organized and stocked for functions
  • Assist in clearing banquet space post-function and restock supplies
  • Maintain a warm and friendly attitude at all times
  • Attend to "Lost and Found" items following standards
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisors
  • Participate in mandatory meetings
Working Conditions

Employees may encounter the following work environment conditions:
  • Inside environmental conditions: protection from weather but not temperature changes
  • Exposure to noise requiring raised voices
  • No effective protection from outside weather conditions
  • Functioning in narrow aisles or passageways
  • Minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions
Physical Requirements

Physical demands of the job include:
  • Reaching and grasping objects for extended periods
  • Remaining standing for prolonged periods
  • Engaging in repetitive motions
  • Ability to communicate detailed instructions clearly
  • Close visual acuity for various tasks including using computer terminals and inspecting small parts
Lifting

Lifting objects from lower to higher positions as required
  • Valid driver's license and background checks may apply
