MEP Construction Estimator - Data Centers in Ashburn, VA

Responsibilities:

  • Review Price and Cost Proposals to determine equipment needs
  • Ensure proposal scope aligns with required specifications
  • Develop accurate cost and profit work up sheets
  • Verify labor rates and productivity comply with contract terms
  • Validate material pricing against references and obtain quotes
  • Assess contractor mark-ups and confirm correct application
  • Aid in Sales Proposals preparation
  • Participate in negotiation meetings with subcontractors
  • Generate cost estimates from engineering drawings
  • Perform material take-offs and conceptual cost estimates
  • Document historical cost data for future estimates
Qualifications:
  • Must have experience in Construction Services for Large Buildings/Facilities
  • Background in Electrical/Mechanical Systems
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Construction
  • 5-10 years of Cost Estimation experience
  • Preferably familiar with Heavy Construction Projects
  • Knowledge of Construction Estimation Software (Timberline, CMIC, etc)
