Job Summary:

Are you passionate about genetics and metabolism? The Division of Genetics & Metabolism at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is looking for a skilled Clinical Geneticist to spearhead our Division as the Division Chief. Join our team with a strong history dating back to 1972, providing top-notch services for a wide range of genetic conditions. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary specialists who offer diagnostic, counseling, and care management services.

Our Division also conducts groundbreaking research in partnership with leading institutions like the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene and UW-Madison's Waisman Center. As the Division Chief, you will play a crucial role in leadership, program building, and clinical excellence.



Responsibilities:
For appointments on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) Track:
  • Provide clinical care at approved locations.
  • Conduct independent research/scholarly activity.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in various settings.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and excellence in clinical care.

The selected candidate will engage in administrative and committee work to support the missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health while fostering a collaborative environment with fellow faculty members.

Education:
Required:
Terminal Degree - MD, DO, or equivalent.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an ACGME-approved medical genetics and genomics program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Medical Genetics & Genomics.
  • Must be eligible for a Wisconsin medical license.

Work Type:
Full or Part Time: 50% - 100%

This position will require in-person work at a designated campus location.

Salary:
Negotiable - ANNUAL (12 months)
