As a Psychologist in the school setting, your main focus will be to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. By collaborating with teachers and parents, you will create customized intervention plans to support students' overall well-being and promote positive learning environments.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or Doctorate in School Psychology required
  • Active TN - School Psychology Educational License (or ability to obtain) required

Psychologist Job Role:

  • Conducting assessments: Administering cognitive, emotional, and behavioral assessments to identify students' strengths and challenges
  • Collaborating with stakeholders: Meeting with teachers, parents, and administrators to discuss student progress, develop intervention strategies, and provide guidance on classroom management
  • Providing support: Offering counseling and guidance to students facing emotional or behavioral difficulties, and assisting teachers with implementing effective teaching methods for diverse learning needs
  • Documentation and planning: Writing assessment reports, intervention plans, and progress updates, while continually adapting strategies to meet the evolving needs of students
