Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral states.
  • Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to meet students' needs and provide support.
  • Offer counseling and therapeutic services to students facing emotional or behavioral issues.
  • Provide guidance and training to school staff on effective methods for supporting students with various needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide projects and programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements and best practices in school psychology and special education.
Requirements
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Active School Psychology license in Tennessee.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting psychological assessments and delivering intervention services within a school environment.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and evidence-based school psychology practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively in a dynamic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a diverse range of students and/or bilingual abilities.
  • Additional certifications or training in areas such as trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or behavioral therapy.
