Job Description

Your Career

We are expanding the Cortex Vulnerability Management Scanning team and are in search of a talented Senior Software Engineer to join us. This team is responsible for developing software that enables our customers to analyze their behind-the-firewall attack surface, assisting them in prioritizing and resolving critical vulnerabilities using the XSIAM platform.

Your Impact

  • Design, build, and maintain network scanning software and required infrastructure
  • Analyze current solutions, propose enhancements, and implement changes
  • Participate in architecture strategy sessions to design solutions meeting Cortex's diverse group requirements
  • Collaborate with teams to solve issues, reduce technical debt, and improve development practices
  • Champion technical best practices and introduce new technologies to the engineering team
  • Mentor fellow engineers, ensure high-quality deliverables, and take ownership of projects
  • Develop processing pipelines, create REST APIs, and design customer-facing interfaces
Qualifications
  • Professional software engineering experience (5+ years) in full stack software development
  • Knowledgeable about API design and distributed backend systems
  • Proficient in cloud managed services, especially in GCP
  • Skilled in Python and Javascript, willing to learn Java, Golang, or RUST
  • Experience in Linux operating system and design patterns
  • Familiar with cloud services like BigQuery, BigTable, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
  • Strong background in databases, profiling, and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of GCP or AWS, along with Kubernetes

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of networking protocols and security software
  • Familiarity with network architectures and deployment of on-premises software
  • Cybersecurity knowledge with relevant certifications or a willingness to obtain them
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and penetration testing tools
