Responsibilities:
- Utilize electrical engineering CAD tools and conduct mixed signal circuit analysis/design.
- Stay updated on technology trends, conduct tests, troubleshoot issues, and interpret circuit card schematics.
- Drive innovation in design architectures, assembly processes, component selection, and electronics design.
- Participate in research & development activities from concept to testing phases.
- Collaborate with a diverse team and focus on continuous professional growth.
- Design analog and digital electronic circuits, including signal conditioning and analog-to-digital conversion.
- Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and validate electrical hardware components.
- Assist in developing test systems and criteria, including test software applications.
- Conduct trade studies to identify optimal system solutions.
- Work on underwater acoustic system design and prototype cable assemblies.
- Perform solder rework on prototype circuit card assemblies.
- Create technical presentations and written communications for program management and Navy clients.
- Generate design and interface documentation.
- Experience with engineering development life cycle phases.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of communication interfaces like Ethernet, RS-485, USB, CAN bus, LVDS, TCP, and UDP protocols.
- Experience in analog and digital circuit design and signal integrity principles.
- Proficiency in PCB design phases, including architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, component selection, schematic entry, and collaboration with PCB layout teams.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Bonus: Familiarity with MATLAB programming.
