**Territory Sales Manager - Southeast**
at ChemoCentryx Inc Remote / Virtual ChemoCentryx is searching for a Territory Sales Manager - Southeast that will be responsible for maximizing sales to targeted customers within their territory. This role will develop and execute a territory strategy and work collaboratively across the organization to address customer needs and will report to the Regional Sales Manager.
ChemoCentryx is currently recruiting for a Territory Sales Manager responsible for all sales activities in the assigned geographical areas below:
Birmingham AL
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
Accountable for consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals within the geographic area in a professional, compliant, ethical and effective manner
Utilize effective selling skills and product knowledge to create and expand product understanding as well as appropriate patient identification
Execute brand strategies to ensure a consistent company sales and marketing message
Prepares and executes Business Plan for targeted customer segments utilizing all resources to monitor and manage business frequently
Utilize sales tools, resources and supporting analysis to plan activity. Develop and execute plans to maximize selling resources
Provide feedback to Regional Sales Managers on marketplace trends, challenges, programs, response to promotion and product access. Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to establish goals and implement plans to enhance current skill sets and sales results
Actively pursue continuous learning and professional development on efficient sales, communication and product knowledge training
Perform company business in accordance with all regulations, company policy and procedures
Manages territory budget and responsible for all necessary call reporting and administrative tasks
Coordinates effectively with peers, internal departments, and customers to ensure that key issues are understood and addressed, and priorities are set appropriately
Performs other relevant tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management
**Requirements**
Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences / Pharmacy / Business related field or equivalent
8+ years pharmaceutical sales experience, 5+ years of specialty sales experience
Ability to build rapport and relationships by interacting with employees and external contacts (i.e., M.D. and office staff) at all levels, demonstrating the awareness of their needs and responding with the appropriate action
Advanced organizational skills to implement a variety of programs and activities
Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas
Advanced business acumen and proficient use of business tools; strategic and critical thinking
Proficient in overcoming issues and challenges associated with selling specialty products
Proactively identifies customer style / behavior and quickly adapts all aspects of selling approach, demonstrate high ethical and professional standards
Proficient understanding of the managed care environment, hospital sales and specialty pharmacy products
Demonstrates innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities to address challenges
Able to travel throughout the territory including overnight stays
**Preferred Experience**
Launch experience and rare disease experience strongly preferred
Specialty sales experience preferably in nephrology / rheumatology / nephrology
Problem solver, entrepreneurial spirit
