Job Title: Press Brake Operator at Sacoma

Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our newly established second-shift team in the fabrication department. As a Press Brake Operator, your responsibilities will include operating a press brake to shape, bend, punch, and notch various standard tasks. You will also be accountable for ensuring that the products align with our quality standards as per client specifications.

Essential Functions:

  • Setup tooling and Program Press Brake based on Customer CAD Data.
  • Operate the press brake.
  • Interpret blueprint drawings to meet client requirements and tolerances.
  • Diagnose machine issues and adjust functions and settings accordingly.
  • Conduct necessary quality checks to guarantee compliance with guidelines.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the press to elongate its operational life.
  • Execute operations that prioritize safety, in accordance with OSHA and MDSD Standards.
  • Engage in 6S activities.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
  • Experience in press brake programming, operations, and changeovers.
  • Practical mechanical skills.
  • Familiarity with height gages and calipers.
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective analytical and problems solving aptitude.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts is advantageous.
  • Adherence to all health, safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Consistent attendance and readiness to work overtime when required.
