GENERAL OVERVIEW
The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Core System.

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to areas of design, setup, implementation, and maintenance of the credit union's main and secondary computer processing systems.

The incumbent must have excellent organization skills, good attention to detail, an ability to follow written instructions and documentation, and good problem-solving ability.

Must work toward possessing strong skills in XML and Java languages.

  • Responsibility for core systems document integration via Symform PDF.
  • Assist in systems maintenance and monitoring in effort to maximize availability.
  • Assist in processing schedule design and maintenance using SMA Opcon as well as Windows Task Scheduler.
  • Assist in diagnostics of member issues.
  • Develop and schedule of reports and queries.
  • Assist in management of Synergy document imaging archive and retrieval system.
  • Maintain documentation and maintenance schedules.
  • Assist in configuration and support of ARCU.
  • Provide for afterhours cycle processing.
  • Provide 24hour support via paging system as assigned.
  • Perform offhour system maintenance and special processing duties as assigned.
  • Assist with configuration of consoles, ancillary devices, SymConnect, and other interfaces with core systems.
  • Perform daily review and maintenance of logs and reports to ensure systems operation and network security. Log and escalate all anomalies the Network and Security Administrator
  • Ensure and log successful daily and periodic systems backups.
  • Assist as necessary in help desk and end user support.
  • Adhere to First New York information security polices and procedure in the execution of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in computer technology or 3 years of related experience.
  • Must have an understanding of database structures and relationships.
  • Credit Union or other financial institution experience preferred.
  • Must be able to respect confidential information.
  • Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must work independently.
