As a Respiratory Care Practitioner II, you'll provide assessment, treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities. You'll exercise sound judgment, employ developed clinical skills to provide input for the patient's plan of care and gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families and other healthcare providers.

To be considered, candidates must have a graduate certificate from a two-year respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), a Respiratory Care Practitioner certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification if required, and either a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist certification within 90 days of hire.

An ideal candidate for this position will possess knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, procedures, equipment and have experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies. Efficient time management and organizational skills is a must, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline. Other key skills an ideal candidate will possess includes; written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people, knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to build collaborates relationships with peers and other healthcare providers.

This position comes with a 12 hours (nights) work shift and may require working every other weekend. The range for this position is $56.48 to $70.60 per hour and eligible roles also qualify for comprehensive benefits package.
