The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMN Crookston) is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, oversee HR functions, and provide consultation on a wide range of HR matters. - Location: Crookston, Minnesota
- Working environment: Hybrid (varying days in-office)
- Salary: $85,000 to $105,000 annually
Essential Job Duties:
- Guide and oversee employee lifecycle activities
- Counsel and advise on HR policies and procedures
- Collaborate with academic affairs for faculty recruitment
- Foster a diverse and inclusive campus culture
- Interpret employment laws and regulations
- Coordinate compensation policies and disciplinary actions
- Address employee relations issues
- Supervise HR support staff and represent the university in community engagements
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree plus six years of HR work experience
- Supervisory experience or previous HR leadership roles
- Strong understanding of labor laws and union relations
- Committed to promoting equity and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree in HR or related field
- Experience in higher education, healthcare, government, or nonprofit settings
- Certifications in HR or labor relations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
