The University of Minnesota Crookston, which is one of the five campuses within the University of Minnesota system, is seeking applications for a full-time Horticulture teaching faculty position. Position

This is a full-time, nine-month, annual-renewable lecturer position in Horticulture (Class # 9754) within the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department at the Crookston campus of the University of Minnesota commencing on August 14, 2024. Responsibilities

- Delivering high-quality undergraduate instruction in the Horticulture (B.S) program
- Providing academic and career advising to undergraduate students
- Directing program-related extracurricular clubs and contributing to recruitment efforts
- Active engagement in assessment, retention initiatives, and program development
- Establishing a robust industry support network and guiding student career placement
- Ensuring safe greenhouse and facility operations
- Participating in service activities on campus

The successful applicant is required to have a master's degree in Horticulture or a related field, along with excellent teaching skills and industry experience. They should also possess knowledge of horticulture crops and landscape plants in the upper midwestern U.S., effective communication abilities, and a solid command of English. Additionally, the candidate must fulfill certain qualifications which will be verified through a background check and authorization to work in the United States.
