The Bonds and Grants Unit is hiring an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) or an Associate Park and Recreation Specialist (APRS) for a Grant Administrator position. The Grant Administrator will report directly to the Staff Services Manager I (Program Manager) and will assist in developing, implementing, administering, and monitoring local assistance grant programs and projects. Duties include reviewing grant proposals, conducting field inspections, developing grant agreements, processing payment requests, assisting with public outreach workshops, and other required duties. The successful candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and possess a strong attention to detail. Flexible Work Schedule: This position is considered Remote-Centered, which means incumbent would telework 50% or more of the time within a work month from an alternate work location. The position incumbent can telework with a management approved telework agreement and schedule.The incumbent will perform duties from both telework and in-person office settings, as needed for operational effectiveness. The reporting location is the California Natural Resources Agency Headquarters in Sacramento. Up to 34 days annually or 10% of essential job functions may involve travel to conduct meetings, site visits and closeout inspections. Working Conditions


•Travel estimated 10% or 34 days per year (must have valid California Driver's License)

• This position is eligible for telework, in accordance with CAL FIRE's telework policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
