About this role:

Partner directly with sales in developing long term pricing strategies and client facing narratives for our largest clients in order to retain and grow our business with a focus on product simplification, cost avoidance, and equating costs to value.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Proposals, Product Management, Finance and other key stakeholders to establish and provide client-specific pricing solutions that meet client needs and align to our product/sales strategy and revenue requirements.
  • Interact with clients directly to convey Gartner policy and discuss potential pricing solutions with a goal of reducing the potential for future difficulties and renewal concerns.
  • Subject Matter Expert to sales/ commercial team(s) providing guidance and approvals as needed for non-standard commercial terms and pricing. Expect high volumes with tight deadlines.
  • Establish best practice scalable proposal and savings templates and share these best practices with Pricing SMEs globally.
  • Create and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders articulating product and pricing strategy and incorporating broad market and competitor knowledge.
  • Set, maintain, standardize, and continually update commercial framework price schedules and product guidelines to align with corporate strategy.
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests for information and questions relating to commercial products and/or pricing.
  • Collaborate with Legal and internal SME teams as needed to resolve issues as needed to secure business.
  • Act as a true business partner to internal sales teams and clients.
  • Coordinate amongst many different sales teams within an account to ensure a consistent and fair model for pricing.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 years' experience in finance, pricing, contracts, proposals, sales, or related operational function
  • Strong analytical skills for problem solving, risk assessment, and broad strategy view including the ability to apply sound judgment.
  • Ability to prioritize appropriately, organize work effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Successful track record of delivering superior client service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on PowerPoint presentation creation and delivery
  • Ability to work well with others under high-stress situations, effectively interface with internal functional and project teams and meet both internal and external customer goals/objectives.
  • Demonstrate ability to clearly organize and effectively address complex internal and external stakeholder requirements for the purpose of supporting a position and/or effectively transferring knowledge.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 116,000 USD - 164,220 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
