Supplier QA Engineer III in Appleton, WI

Unique Skills:

  • Experience in SAP is required
  • Experience in supply chain audit management is preferred
  • A&P FAA license or ASQ certification is preferable but not mandatory

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience

4 years technical experience in a manufacturing or repair and overhaul facility

Position Purpose: The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for addressing quality performance concerns for suppliers throughout the product lifecycle. The SQE collaborates with suppliers to enhance their Quality Management System and works with key stakeholders to improve supplier performance.

Job Description:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:

  • Ensures timely support for supplier quality/inspection system
  • Manages supplier performance compliance through audits
  • Certifies supplier quality systems and equipment
  • Coordinates quality assurance program plans and monitors audit schedules
  • Drives the Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) process
  • Promotes continuous improvement techniques at suppliers

Additional Functions:

  • Drives corrective action process effectiveness
  • Develops key metrics for supplier performance evaluation
  • Provides technical guidance to subordinate personnel
  • Leads quality focus meetings and communicates progress to leadership

Other Requirements:

  • A&P License may substitute for degree requirement
  • ASQ certification highly preferred
  • Computer literate with knowledge of quality control requirements
  • Experience in Supplier Quality is desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles
  • Working knowledge of APQP principles
