Dispatcher

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is looking for a Dispatcher to join our Building & Construction team in our San Antonio, Texas office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Administrative Support in our Engineering Materials Testing, Geotechnical Engineering, and Environmental Sciences Operations

The Dispatcher / Administrative Assistant is responsible for overseeing administrative activities and support staff.

How you'll make an impact at Intertek:

  • Dispatches field technicians to projects daily.
  • Works directly with subcontractors to coordinate project needs.
  • Tracks field and lab supplies inventory and places orders.
  • Answers and directs client calls to appropriate staff.
  • Assists with Company Fleet Vehicle maintenance scheduling and inventory.
  • Creates various documents, spreadsheets, etc. utilizing Microsoft Office software.
  • Prepares invoices, follows up with clients and conducts accounts receivable.
  • Performs various general office duties, including faxing, copying, mailing, filing, etc.
  • Researches a wide variety of information requests.
  • May assist with developing, updating, and/or reviewing local operating procedures and/or work instructions.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1 year Construction Materials Testing experience is preferred
  • 1 year experience as Dispatcher preferred
  • Experience is Microsoft Word and Excel is required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately
  • Ability to plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects within established standards, objectives, and time frames
