Monitor and analyze student assessment data Set high expectations of achievement for each student Hold students accountable for high expectations of learning with measurable standards of academic achievement Utilize a variety of instructional materials and available multi-media and computer technology to enhance learning Identify and address individual students' social, emotional, and behavioral learning needs and barriers Identify and address individual students' development of organizational and time-management skills Incorporate whole group, small group and individual instruction to meet individual student needs Incorporate systems for students to take ownership of their learning, goals, and progress Campus Environment Manage the behavior of learners in the instructional setting to ensure environment is conducive to the learning process, assist and participate in management of student behavior in other parts of the campus Assist in the safe and orderly movement of all students to and from classrooms Hold students accountable for high expectations of behavior and engagement that are accessible Establish a culture of respect, enthusiasm, and rapport Together, create physical classroom environments conducive to collaborative and individual learning Compile, maintain and file/submit all reports, records and other documents required Establish a culture of respect, enthusiasm, and rapport Manage procedures, supervise students, and develop students' social emotional skills during transitions, lunch, recess, assemblies, and other activities while other teachers plan or deliver instruction Professional Responsibilities Attend and engage in Paid Teacher Resident Orientation provided by FBISD Solicit and eagerly receive feedback from the Host Teacher, campus principal, and university supervisor following informal and formal observations to promote ongoing improvement of instructional practices Maintain confidentiality of student information Participate in team planning, Professional Learning Communities, campus based professional development, campus faculty meetings, and meetings with the university supervisor to enhance the skills/knowledge to serve students Meet with team, teacher leaders and Host Teacher to ensure alignment of instructional vision and delivery in all classrooms and to troubleshoot students' persistent learning challenges Regularly monitor student learning through use of rubrics, grading, assessment, and data analysis to identify next steps in teaching Maintain regular communication with families, as assigned; work collaboratively with them to design learning both at home and at school, and to encourage a home life conducive to learning success Continually communicate with students on instructional expectations and keep them informed of their progress in meeting those expectations Collaborate with the Host Teacher to oversee the learning and development of assigned students through effective instructional planning, co-teaching, facilitation of whole group and small group instruction, and use of data to make instructional decisions Compile, maintain and file/submit all reports, records and other documents required Support or participate in school wide student activities and social events and approved fund raising activities Supervisory Responsibilities None Qualifications Qualification Requirements

Minimum of 60 hours of college hours eligible to student teach, classified as a senior at an accredited college or university Minimum of 6 months of experience working with elementary age children and knowledge of the learning process preferred Be enrolled in an approved educator preparation program Be selected as a Paid Teacher resident as part of the application process through the University and Fort Bend ISD Demonstrate knowledge of content, curriculum and instruction methods, materials and resource of instruction to which assigned Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents Strong oral and written communication skills required Ability to follow policy and procedures in campus and district handbook Ability to plan, teach and self-reflect Receptive and accepting of constructive criticism Be available to attend meetings and conferences before and after school Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Strong interpersonal skills Ability to operate a variety of classroom instructional equipment, including and not limited to computers, audio/visual and video equipment Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
