Basic Qualifications

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is necessary within a reasonable timeframe. Selected candidates will undergo a U.S. Government security check and must meet criteria for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.

Job Description

Join Progeny Systems, an integral part of General Dynamics Mission Systems, a cutting-edge tech company specializing in software and hardware system integration, advanced research and development, and manufacturing. We specialize in designing, testing, and producing state-of-the-art torpedo guidance and control systems for the Department of Defense, enhancing the warfighter's capabilities in target detection, acquisition, and prosecution. Our expertise lies in various areas like technology insertion, acoustic sensors, signal processing, guidance, cybersecurity, and high-reliability systems.

  • Manage program cost, schedule, and technical performance to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of contractual work products.
  • Oversee subcontracts for crucial components supplied by GDMS partners.
  • Act as a key program interface with customers and the internal engineering and production team.
  • Develop and monitor the performance measurement baseline, reporting on technical performance, financial status, and program risks and issues.
  • Aid the Program Manager in composing the monthly Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR).
  • Identify program challenges and liaise with stakeholders to find solutions.
  • Review staff reports and briefings for quality and contract compliance.
  • Manage supplementary technical instructions from the customer.
  • Support program reviews and deliver formal briefings.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance and security procedures.

Essential requirements include demonstrated project leadership in related engineering development or production programs, integration of complex hardware and software systems, knowledge of defense contracting and finance, proficiency in Earned Value (EIA-748), exceptional oral and written communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and experience with MS Office and related software applications.


    • Executes on-site work in Canonsburg, PA.
    • A Hybrid work schedule might be possible, necessitating at least 3 days per week on-site.

Anticipated salary range: USD $118,424.20/Yr. - USD $128,138.65/Yr. This figure is an approximation based on experience and other considerations. Actual pay may differ. This job posting will be active until the position is filled.
