ANSYS, Inc. seeks Senior Application Developer to work in Canonsburg, PA and various unanticipated locations

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Application Developer implements and configures business software applications in support of business areas within Ansys.
  • This role is responsible for the validation of business requirements, development of system designs and processes, complex system configuration, development of custom features and enhancements, complex report and database query development for one or more business systems or environments.
  • This role will work independently with minimal supervision and will participate in large projects.
  • Specific job duties include: Perform complex configuration, custom development, testing, and documentation supporting enterprise business applications;
  • recognized as subject matter expert for multiple applications, development platforms, development tools or technologies;
  • communicate impact of issues to senior IT and BU management;
  • collaborates with other IT functions to design solutions for complex problems and understand end-to-end business processes;
  • design and develop integration solutions, data migration strategies and tools; mentor others;
  • work independently with minimal supervision and may lead a development team as part of a larger project.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study, and five (5) years of experience in a related position.
  • Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
    • Five years of experience with Development tools such as .NET, Visualforce, PLSQL, HTML, Java, or Ajax;
    • experience designing and developing complex custom enhancements to business systems;
    • experience designing and developing integration methods for business systems and data using web services, XML or other industry standard methods.
  • Additional work location information: Various unanticipated locations. telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the US.
