The IT Technical Associate is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to desktop and workstation computer hardware, software, applications, and peripheral devices. They are also involved in installing new equipment and facilitating network drops throughout the warehouse. Additionally, they manage end user ID accounts and maintain corporate desktop software suite.

  • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues with various devices including barcode and laser printers, scanners, scales, and handheld devices.
  • Install new desktop and workstation equipment.
  • Facilitate running network drops and punching down drops into switches.
  • Create and maintain User IDs for business applications and Windows Active Directory environments.
  • Maintain corporate desktop software suite and install software updates.
  • Monitor and maintain local file servers.
  • Provide support on loading and processing eBooks within the environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate with additional specialized training/education and one to three years of experience.
  • Strong PC skills including familiarity with various systems and products.
  • A+ or MCP Certification desired.
  • General networking knowledge and ability to troubleshoot basic PC problems.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach, and lift/move up to 10 pounds. They must occasionally stand, walk, talk, and hear.

Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
