The Position:

The Finance Manager is a critical leader responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. This includes managing budgets, forecasting cash flow, and analyzing financial data to inform strategic decisions. The Finance Manager will oversee daily accounting functions, prepare accurate financial reports, and manage grant funds in compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, this role will support the annual audit process, and develop internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks. The Finance Manager will also provide leadership and guidance to the finance team.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management - Manage all financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
  • Accounting - Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll.
  • Financial Reporting - Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Grant Management - Manage financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements.
  • Forecasting and Planning - Think ahead for the organization, build budgets, projections and forecasting to help Immerse know what is coming and make good decisions including long-term plans and strategic financial initiatives
  • Compliance - Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements, including non-profit accounting standards and grant regulations.
  • Audit Support - Coordinate with external auditors and oversee the annual financial audit process.
  • Internal Controls - Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Process Improvement - Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in financial operations.
  • Team Leadership - Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Team and Personal Development - Continually seek opportunities for growth, understanding, and balance to maintain health, both individually and as a member of the Immerse Arkansas team. Promote teamwork through collaboration, support, and communication.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit organization
  • Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting principles and practices including fund accounting and grant management
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and grant management
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to drive multiple simultaneous projects to completion
  • Strong implementation skills; able to see something not yet created and know how to make something happen

  • Is emotionally humble and smart- has a high emotional intelligence
  • Sees their work as worship and has a growing relationship with Jesus
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to the value of cultural competency
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned region on a daily basis
  • Must successfully complete a background check and drug screen
  • Must maintain current certification in CPR, First Aid, and other certifications as determined by the program
