We are currently seeking skilled Landscape Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of landscape maintenance like mowing, trimming, blowing off surfaces, pruning, edging and mulching, leaf removal, etc. This is a year round job with snow removal work during winter months. No Layoffs

Job Duties and Tasks

  • Operates push, walk-behind and riding mowers
  • Operates line trimmer, stick edger and back-pack blowers
  • Performs daily maintenance on equipment
  • Edges and mulches flower beds
  • Performs weed control
  • Prunes flower beds and other plant life
  • Performs leaf removal with blowers, rakes and tarps
  • Performs snow removal and de-icing when required
  • Loads and unloads equipment and debris daily
  • Clean job sites, trucks, trailers, yard and shop
  • Accurately completes timesheets daily detailing work completed that day per location
  • Attends and participates in all scheduled meetings
  • Observes appropriate safety practices regarding the usage of all equipment at all times
  • May work in a labor capacity in any division as needed due to work flow
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferences for the Position:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certification
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License (preferably with less than 3 moving violations)
  • Ability to identify common shrubs, trees, and perennials for the central Ohio area
  • Ability to identify weeds common to the central Ohio area
  • This position does require the ability to operate a truck with or without an attached trailer
  • Medium English language skills allowing the candidate the ability to read, and understand safety and operating procedures
  • Basic Math skills allowing the candidate count, do simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Medium Reasoning skills allowing the candidate to draw conclusions with abstract or concrete facts
