We are thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for a Seasoned Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to become a part of our Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering team based in Everett, WA.

(Puget Sound)


The chosen candidate will contribute to the design, certification, and support of commercial airplanes through the application of cutting-edge reliability and maintainability engineering principles.

R&M Engineering plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal performance, lifecycle economics, and compliance with safety and airworthiness standards during airplane development.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Utilize modeling, simulation, and data analytics techniques & tools, including statistical and probabilistic analyses.
  • Act as a technical expert supporting various functional design teams throughout all phases of airplane product development and support lifecycle.
  • Assist in determining program technical performance metrics (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability, and maintenance cost.

Provide assistance in the following areas:

  • Design for Reliability & Safety (validation & verification of airplane and system design reliability requirements, allocation of reliability requirements to suppliers, analysis of failure modes, rates, effects, propagation and detection, architecture & operational provisions, safety & certification analysis, certification support, reliability & durability testing).
  • Interact with airplane system suppliers, business partners, airline customers, airplane development program leaders, and functional management, fostering high levels of communication within the R&M Engineering organization, program teams, and functional design areas. Regular responsibilities include teamwork, individual problem-solving, managing multiple tasks, and assignments for an R&M engineer.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor's of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience in the field of reliability engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with propulsion or airplane systems
  • Reliability engineering background.
  • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) knowledge.
  • Experience in Commercial Airplane Certification.

Education & Experience:


Bachelor's degree with typically 5 or more years of engineering experience, or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years of engineering experience, or a PhD degree with engineering experience.
