The

Director of

Project Manager

(PMO) is responsible for leading the PMO function and its team members. This is a unique opportunity to design and build a high-functioning PMO. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of project management within Solis - everything from intake, to planning, execution, and closure. In addition to leading the project managers, you will also work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders in order to deliver projects in time, within scope and within budget.

RESULTS MEASURED BY THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
Establish and communicate standards for project management, including standard templates and methodology for project management
Lead the design and deployment of the project governance process and own the process going forward

Lead the PMO team to be responsible for understanding the "why" behind our strategic projects, partnering with other business leaders to create the vision, critical success factors, sequencing of projects, budgets, and roadmap for those projects, and then leading projects through their life-cycles to deliver results.

Define processes for project intake, capacity and demand management, resource planning, portfolio reporting, etc
Works with other departmental project management teams to align on goals, updates, and progress of corporate strategic projects.
Communicate to all areas of the business, including leadership in their terms and desired cadence, whether via Steering Committees or Working Team meetings

Identify issues and risks, advise on mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues including but not limited to bandwidth, timing, and sequencing.

Train project business leads on project management methodology, tools, and best practices
Manage the overall budget process reporting for actual vs. planned performance on a monthly basis to leadership and other stakeholders as required.

Partners closely with business leaders to analyze new business requests, prepare required information for governance decisions and provide transparency of portfolio investments.

Is capable to personally oversee incremental projects as needed when the team reaches their bandwidth

Collaborate with Project Management team to ensure alignment, dependencies or impact of a business request may have to the other portfolios.

Lead project team in critical implementation initiatives including enterprise transformational efforts, infrastructure, implementations, acquisitions, systems integration and deployment, new denovo and in-office locations, business process improvements, operational efficiency improvements, etc.

Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand the business challenges and opportunities for assigned portfolio area.
Ensure project management standards are followed by providing regular assessments of projects and providing feedback
Gathering project data and producing summary level information/dashboards for management review
Be source of guidance, advice, and coaching for Project Managers and project teams

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
7-10+ years Healthcare Project Management industry experience
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management/Health Administration, Business, or related fields is preferred. Masters degree strongly preferred.
PMP, ITIL, CSM preferred
Experience in successfully managing a Project Management team with proven results in a healthcare environment, preferably health system
Deep knowledge of project management tools and methodology
Ability to think strategically, understand the big picture and communicate the end goal
Decisive; pragmatic; goal-oriented and action-focused; ability to act tactically
Excellent command of verbal and written communication for all levels of stakeholders
Previous experience successfully managing people and teams; strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership skills, ownership, and commitment to deliverables
Able to influence key internal and external stakeholders
Highly organized with ability to meet internal and external deadlines
Willingness to travel
Computer proficient; competent in MS Office Suite including SharePoint and MS Teams

Ability to work with our customers (hospital partners) and communicate effectively to help them stay on track to do the work needed on JV partnerships and integrations.

Ability to lead a team from afar and be available as needs arise for in-person interaction.
