Job Description and Duties

CCHCS seeks to fill a Permanent/Fulltime Associate Management Auditor/Staff Services Management Auditor position in the Policy and Risk Management Services

AMA


Under the general direction of the Staff Management Auditor, Internal Audit Program (IAP), Policy and Risk Management, the Associate Management Auditor is responsible for independently completing the more difficult and complex audit assignments and activities.

These assignments include compliance audits; financial reviews, data analysis, and consulting activities of headquarter programs and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's Adult Correctional and Rehabilitation Institutions focused in health care areas currently under the direction of the California Correctional Health Care Services Federal Receiver.

This position may require limited travel.

SSMA


Under close supervision of the Staff Management Auditor, Internal Audit Program (IAP), Policy and Risk Management, the Staff Services Management Auditor (SSMA) assists in all aspects of internal audits and program reviews.


SSMAduties include, but are not limited to, planning the audit, evaluating control structures, performing tests of transactions, developing sound conclusions, developing written audit reports, and conducting follow-up activities.

This position may require limited travel.

This position is located in Policy and Risk Management Services, which is responsible for many of the branches and units that allow California Correctional Health Care Services to operate objectively and efficiently: the Risk Management Branch, Inmate Correspondence and Appeals Branch, and Internal Audit Program.

While each branch has its own mission and goals, they all come together to promote and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
