ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be capable of using Cad/Cam systems (Pro/E Wildfire 2.0 preferred) to design tooling and create manufacturing processes and associated documentationPossess theoretical and hands on knowledge of the processing of nickel and cobalt based alloysMust have the capability to troubleshoot tooling and processesWork with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that processing packages are completed in a timely manner to facilitate manufactureMust be familiar with sheet metal concepts, standard practices, and proceduresShould rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsKnowledge of CNC programming is an advantageA wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedPerform other duties, assigned

RequirementsEDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferredEXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 10 years work related experience in an aerospace environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

Language:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Suite -Outlook, Word, Excel; working knowledge of Cad/Cam systems (Pro/E Wildfire 2.0 preferred

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to use basic shop math

Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

Technical Skills:
Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Knowledge of machining practices and techniques, basic mechanical principles and shop mathematics, setups, tooling applications, operating methods and machine ability of materials.
