Home Health Aide (HHA) Position at Maxim Healthcare Services
The Home Health Aide (HHA) is a valuable member of the home care team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
The HHA delivers essential personal care services to meet the needs of patients following Maxims philosophy, standards, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observing and documenting patient condition, and promptly reporting any changes to the nurse supervisor
- Effectively communicating with clients, family/caregivers, and office staff
- Assisting patients with personal care activities such as baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, and more
- Planning and preparing nutritious meals for patients
- Practicing infection control standards and ensuring patient safety
- Administering medication and performing basic medical procedures as ordered
- Ensuring home safety practices and emergency management procedures are followed
Minimum Requirements:
- Completing all training requirements according to state and federal laws
- Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately
- Hold current CPR certification as per state regulations
- Successful completion of screening examinations
- Participation in competency programs
