Responsibilities
  • Assisting Cardiologist in performing Diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Performing quality control procedures as required
  • Evaluating orders, verifying with cardiologist, ensuring proper lab results and history
  • Familiarity with interventional equipment and wires
  • Interacting with hospital staff regarding patient care
  • Responsible for maintaining performance skills
  • Working weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, when needed

Qualifications
  • 2 years prior Special Procedure and/or Radiographer experience preferred
  • Membership in related professional organization preferred
  • Demonstrating commitment to Compliance Program

Education / Licensure
  • Graduate from an approved school in Radiologic Technology
  • Currently licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in the State of Texas
  • Current ARRT Licensure
  • Must have active certification with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as an RCIS or RCES
  • Current certification in Interventional Angiography preferred
  • Must maintain current BCLS certification

  • Trained in Interventional Angiography
  • Able to operate a power injector
  • Able to assist in performing procedures
  • Familiarized with contraindications for contrast
  • Utilizing critical thinking to ensure proper procedure
