Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and adjusts patient flow to minimize wait times, identifying and addressing excessive volumes promptly.
  • Acts as a resource for staff on MRI equipment protocols and ensures proper maintenance of the equipment.
  • Provides on-the-job training and guidance to new and junior employees, schedules work shifts, and ensures quality and productivity standards are met.
  • Assesses individual staff performance, provides feedback, and offers coaching on procedures and protocols.
  • Manages inventory levels, orders supplies as necessary, and oversees supply maintenance.

Additional Education/Work Experience:

Minimum of one year of experience in a senior role within the same job family or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to fulfill the position's responsibilities.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of the unit's policies, standards, procedures, and tools.
  • Ability to efficiently monitor patient flow and equipment operations, taking appropriate actions within designated authority.

Qualifications:

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

Completion of a Radiological Technology program from an accredited school.

Job Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MRI examination concepts, standards, equipment, and related procedures.
  • Familiarity with MRI safety regulations, examinations, and equipment requirements.
  • Understanding of basic patient care tasks during MRI procedures.
  • Capability to accurately document work activities and operate MRI equipment proficiently.
  • Commitment to continuous learning to stay updated on MRI skills and industry advancements.
  • Proficient in English communication for job duties and maintaining effective work relationships.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Required certifications include American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) and State of Washington Radiological Technologist Certification.
  • Preferred certification in ARRT MRI and current healthcare provider BLS Certification.

Pay Range:

$67.98 per hour
